Q: When does Utility Disconnects for Non-Pay customers Begin?

A: On the 26th of each month.


Q: When does penalty go on my bill?

A: At 10:00am the following business day after the 15th of each month.


Q: Which part of my bill do I mail with my payment?

A: The short stub to the right of the bill that has the scanable barcode.


Q: I placed (something) on the lid and it's still there, was my water meter read?

A: The Utility Office is currently in the process of changing out all water meters to ?NEW? scanning meters and therefore do not require the lid to be raised. However, the meter readers are instructed to replace all items found on top of a meter or lid, in the same place, after the meter has been read.


Q: Why was my bill estimated?

A: All meters are read unless estimated. If the meter is estimated it will have the word estimated printed on the bill for that month. Consumption is estimated only if the meter cannot be read (mainly due to the weather) or problems are detected with the meter. Under normal circumstances, water is the only utility estimated.


Q: When I came home from work or when I woke up this morning my water was off. Why wasn't I notified?

A: Every attempt is made to notify customers of planned outages. However, the Utility Office is not responsible for unplanned service outages.

Q: Does the Utility Office offer a budget plan to customers to offset high Utility bills in the winter?

A: Yes. The Utility Office offers a Budget Billing Plan. The budget begins on July 1st and runs through June 30th. Interested customers need to contact the Utility Office between April 1st & June 1st.

A: Utility Bills are mailed out to our customers on the last business day of each month.
